Embracing New Beginnings

Inicio Trust Unveils Visionary Multi Academy Partnership

Welcome to Inicio, where the essence of beginnings and inspiration converge to shape a brighter future for education. Inicio, derived from the Latin word for beginnings, marks the inception of a new and dynamic chapter as Swift Academies and Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College join forces with Longfield, Hurworth, and The Rydal schools. These esteemed institutions unite under the banner of Inicio, forming a larger and more visionary Multi Academy Trust.

The expanded network of Inicio is a testament to our commitment to providing a comprehensive educational journey, spanning from primary school to college-age students. With a wealth of dedicated educational professionals, our trust is poised to deliver excellence through collaboration and a shared vision. Students can now experience a seamless educational trajectory, fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness from the beginning of their school career to the culmination of their A Levels.

Tim Fisher, CEO, in expressing the essence of Inicio, stated, “Welcome to Inicio Academies, a Multi Academy Trust bringing together partners from early years, primary, secondary, and post-16 sectors to deliver our vision for a happy, healthy, and successful learning community. At the heart of Inicio is the belief that by working together, we can positively impact the futures of the young people we serve.”

The vision behind transitioning from Swift to Inicio was rooted in the desire to support the trust’s expansion. Formed on April 1st, 2024, Inicio Academies emerged from the merger of Swift Academies and Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College, creating an innovative Multi Academy Trust catering to individuals aged 2 to 19. From the outset, Inicio’s vision has been to cultivate a culture of diverse academies, allowing each to focus on meeting the unique needs of its community while collaborating to find innovative solutions and drive the personal and academic progress of young individuals.

The scale and scope of Inicio Trust empower us to forge powerful partnerships with our local communities. Our central team stands ready to support the distinct ambitions of each academy, providing leadership and expertise across the Trust. Together, we aim to transform the lives of young people for the better, creating a learning community that is not only academically successful but also happy and healthy.
